The \u201cWhat Will You Design Today?\u201d campaign was created with Canva\u2019s platform by an in-house team and depicts real-world use cases for AI tools used by marketers and colleagues across any organization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why we care.<\/strong> Canva\u2019s platform for businesses, Visual Suite, was launched 18 months ago. In that time, the company doubled its MAU to 170 million and quadrupled its paying subscriber base to 16 million. These are clear signs of a winning B2B strategy, which Canva\u2019s marketing team had to adapt to accommodate a growing roster of enterprise tools and AI capabilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Magic Studio.<\/strong> Canva\u2019s Magic Studio suite of AI tools gets close attention in the new campaign. The tools have been in development for the last two and a half years, according to the company.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/1038259\/MT_Post-text --><\/p>\n<p>Magic Studio includes generative AI technologies like DALL-E and Imagen for generating images. The Magic Write tool aids in creating on-brand text at scale. The suite also has visual editing tools like Magic Eraser, Background Remover, Magic Morph and Magic Animate to clean up images and easily add effects. Magic Edit allows users to edit images using short written prompts.<\/p>\n<p>This 15-second spot shows how effects can easily be added to an image with a text prompt and then converted to a social post.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<noscript><iframe title=\"Turn your ideas into images | Canva Social Posts\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/otZcTI_4cos?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>And this spot shows how Background Remover is used for video production.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<noscript><iframe title=\"Bye bye background | Canva Videos\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DJHWsxs22jg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Magic Studio tools are available for enterprises, small businesses, individual creators and educators. The company offers three main pricing plans \u2014 Canva Free, Canva Pro and Canva for Teams.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expanding B2B approach.<\/strong> \u201cSomething we\u2019re keen to do as we move into the B2B space is that we think about it as \u2018B2H\u2019, or business-to-human, because we all are humans at the end of the day,\u201d Canva\u2019s Executive Creative Director Cat van der Werff told MarTech. \u201cI think what we\u2019re conscious of doing is not losing our brand voice, which is playful and unique, and even when we\u2019re moving into the B2B space, our brand voice doesn\u2019t need to shift. Obviously, our messaging does, because we\u2019re talking to key decision makers, and they care about ease-of-use and the visual impact you get with Canva. They also care about saving time and reducing costs and scaling output. [The campaign speaks] to what they care about while maintaining our playfulness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The campaign uses a recurring cast of characters to personify certain tools, including collaborative whiteboards, social media posts and document tools. In the shift to enterprise solutions, Canva\u2019s audience expanded to teams within the organization that use Canva\u2019s tools together. For instance, last year\u2019s effort focused on marketing and creative teams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this current campaign, we\u2019re starting to look more at, wall-to-wall, how anyone from HR to sales can use Canva to design and to work,\u201d said van der Werff.<\/p>\n<p>To emphasize how Canva promotes teamwork and a fun atmosphere, the campaign included this playful \u201cWin at Work\u201d 30-second spot. The timing with NCAA basketball\u2019s \u201cMarch Madness\u201d is no coincidence.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<noscript><iframe title=\"Canva | Win at work\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HCbTuFhkQ4s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><strong>Campaign.<\/strong> \u201cWhat Will You Design Today?\u201d kicks off this week with social media, digital ads, TV and out-of-home in New York and California markets.<\/p>\n<p>Although the focus of Canva\u2019s marketing efforts is in the U.S., the campaign is also in Canada, the U.K. and Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Out-of-home ads, including transit and office buildings, aim to catch people\u2019s attention on their way to work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen it comes to large organizations, we\u2019re showing them that Canva is a viable enterprise tool for saving time and costs,\u201d said Frank J. Cortese, Canva\u2019s global head of brand media. \u201cWhy we\u2019re in real life, on billboards and in transit centers, and in their lobbies and building elevators, is because we\u2019re not trying to interrupt [professionals] in the middle of their work, but we\u2019re trying to reach them when they\u2019re in their work mindset.
