You can do this in Meta\u2019s Commerce Manager.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Head to <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/commerce_manager\">Commerce Manager<\/a> and click <strong>Start Now<\/strong>, then select <strong>Create a catalog<\/strong> and click <strong>Get started<\/strong> again.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Ecommerce<\/strong>, then click <strong>Next.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If you have a shop on an ecommerce platform like Shopify or BigCommerce, click <strong>Connect to an ecommerce platform<\/strong> and follow the prompts to create your catalog. Turn on Instagram shopping<\/h3>\n<p>Once your catalog is full of products, it\u2019s time to turn on Instagram\u2019s shopping features.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/business\/shops\">Get started<\/a> page.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Get started<\/strong>.\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Create a shop<\/strong>, then <strong>Get started<\/strong>, then <strong>Next.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Review the pre-selected sales channels and add or subtract accounts as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the account\/sales channel you want to connect your shop to. If you\u2019re already selling on Shopify or another partner platform, change your <strong>Checkout method <\/strong>to reflect this<strong>. <\/strong>When everything is set up, click <strong>Next.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Next, choose the countries you want to ship your products to. Note that Instagram Shopping is not available everywhere. You can choose from available countries in the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n<li>Add in your <strong>business email<\/strong>. This is where you\u2019ll get any communication about your Instagram Shop.<\/li>\n<li>Select your business portfolio or create a new one. Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the catalog you want to use for your shop and click <strong>Next<\/strong>. To select a catalog, it must meet catalog eligibility requirements for shops. For example, <strong>18-34-year-olds represent the largest ad audience<\/strong> on the site.<\/p>\n<p>However, that doesn\u2019t mean your specific audience on Instagram will be made up of 18-to-34-year-olds. But, if you\u2019re just getting started using Instagram for business, you might not have a large enough following to gain meaningful insights here yet.<\/p>\n<p>In that case,<strong> take a look at the demographics of your audience on other social channels <\/strong>and of your existing customer base. While this won\u2019t translate exactly to Instagram, it should give you a sense of who\u2019s interested in your business and what you have to say.<\/p>\n<p>Understanding your audience puts you in a better position to create targeted content and business captions for Instagram that resonate. The more planning you do upfront, the better you\u2019ll be able to produce regular content and respond to last-minute or unplanned events.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" id=\"post-459996-_3ys8rpd2p5iq\"\/>3. Schedule your content in advance<\/h3>\n<p>From Reels to Stories to posts, there are many options when it comes to Instagram content.<\/p>\n<p>The best way to <strong>create a unified strategy<\/strong> is to schedule your content across all Instagram surfaces (and other social platforms) using a <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.hootsuite.com\/how-to-create-a-social-media-content-calendar\/\">content calendar<\/a>. Or, take it up a level and schedule all your content to publish automatically at the right time using a tool like the <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hootsuite.com\/en-gb\/platform\/publish\">Hootsuite Publisher<\/a>.
