This app is great for folks searching for and working with influencers.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"8_best_practices_for_social_media_content_curation\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" id=\"post-465206-_p1u3n0kqlny\"\/>8 best practices for social media content curation<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We\u2019re sure you <em>know <\/em>you can\u2019t just copy, paste, and post other people\u2019s content. However, there is a certain finesse to social media content curation.<\/p>\n<p>If you want optimal results, follow these eight best practices and model your strategy after the curated content examples we\u2019ve included.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" id=\"post-465206-_7xzuz2gkgot5\"\/>1. Determine your content mix<\/h3>\n<p>We mentioned this above, too: Plan your content out in advance. If you start publishing curated content willy-nilly, you run the risk of a willy-nilly feed\u2014something we\u2019re sure your mother warned you about.<\/p>\n<p>Planning your content mix out in advance in a calendar will also show you the gaps in your schedule. And don\u2019t worry about curated content overshadowing your original content. In fact, you should be sharing more posts than you create. You have documented buyer personas, right? No sweat if not. Don\u2019t limit yourself to one platform or source<\/h3>\n<p>Omnichannel marketing is the future (and present). Think of how your audience scrolls around the internet. They don\u2019t <em>just <\/em>look at TikTok. They bop around from TikTok, to X, to Instagram. So, think of your social media feeds existing holistically, and plan your curated content accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>Also, you can post cross-channel content on your feeds, too. Share an online article on LinkedIn and repost a sassy Tweet screenshot on your Instagram feed. There are no rules.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" id=\"post-465206-_suw83vf3mmq6\"\/>4. Make it your own<\/h3>\n<p>Give the content you share context. Remember those three questions we had you answer in best practice #2 above? Well, you can put your answers in a caption with your shared post. Tell your audience why they should care about what you\u2019re sharing.<\/p>\n<p>Or just add a few relevant emojis if you\u2019re feeling a little lazy. No judgment.<\/p>\n<p>You can also simply take a quote from the piece or create an image to go with your share. Tag and link to the original creator, and never pass off curated content as something you made yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Not only is it plain wrong, but plagiarism ain\u2019t a good look for your brand.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re sharing a compilation from a bunch of different sources, say that with a small preview, then link to the full article, video, etc. Be sure to credit all sources in the full piece.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" id=\"post-465206-_gyna5xguxkf6\"\/>6. Schedule your content<\/h3>\n<p>You\u2019re curating content to save time, right?<\/p>\n<p>Well, scheduling your content \u2014 curated and otherwise \u2014 is the ultimate time-saver. Plus, scheduling your content also allows you to see where any gaps are and fill them.<\/p>\n<p>Including when you may have forgotten to schedule an important campaign post that needs to go out on a certain day. (<em>Definitely 0% speaking from experience.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And the best thing to fill any upcoming content gaps?
