Although it’s hardly surprising that SAP’s CX offering now includes an AI toolkit, the announcement could almost have been lost in the tidal wave of business AI announcements pouring out of SAP’s Sapphire conference this week.
The conference showcases SAP’s main line of business which remains enterprise ERP software and the headline news is the extension of SAP’s AI copilot Joule throughout its enterprise platform and business applications. Among other things, Joule is designed to help with financial processes, sourcing and procurement and HR. The news for marketers comes with the CX initiative.

New CX AI capabilities. Among the new capabilities in the cloud-based toolkit are:
- An AI shopping assistant that will respond to shoppers’ questions and offer personalized recommendations on websites powered by Commerce Cloud.
- An AI image creator for Commerce Cloud allows users to develop image-based content within the solution rather than importing images from third-party tools.
- A generative AI tool builder that will draw on data from SAP’s Commerce, Sales and Service Clouds to support the creation of personalized content for CX and business needs.
Consumer Insights. SAP also announced the availability of a new consumer Insights solution for consumer products companies. Revenue Growth Management will help companies streamline promotion planning, and execution processes, improving financial controls and operational efficiencies.
It is aimed at helping businesses for efficiently manage pricing and promotion data. “By leveraging SAP S/4HANA Cloud integration, this solution establishes a robust planning and execution system, serving as the operational backbone for driving revenue growth initiatives,” said SAP in a release.
