LinkedIn users could only communicate with a company via public comments\u2026 or, if they were particularly crafty, by tracking down individual employees.<\/p>\n<p>Now, though, Messages for LinkedIn Pages allow for immediate communication between businesses and individual LinkedIn users.<\/p>\n<p>When you enable the Pages Messaging feature, Gina from Sales won\u2019t have to deal with pushy customers in her DMs anymore. <strong>LinkedIn users can now send their messages directly (and, importantly, privately!) to a Company Page<\/strong>, kicking off a two-way conversation.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re an admin of your Company Pages, you\u2019ll find the direct messaging option right on the main navigation menu, where you can manage conversations. Which brings us to Hot Tip #2\u2026<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" id=\"post-460554-_lolnxiq5mucy\"\/>Reply to messages ASAP<\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019re going to turn on LinkedIn messaging functionality, be prepared to be attentive to the DMs that come in.<\/p>\n<p>Whether it\u2019s fair or not, people expect immediacy from brands on social media\u2014McKinsey reports that <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/capabilities\/operations\/our-insights\/social-media-as-a-service-differentiator-how-to-win\">79% of customers<\/a> expect a response within 24 hours on social media. Basically, everyone needs your attention <em>right now<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, if your brand receives a high volume of DMs, it isn\u2019t necessarily realistic to send a perfectly crafted response the minute you get each one.<\/p>\n<p>At the very least, let the sender know you received their message so they aren\u2019t being met with silence. That could be as simple as thanking them for getting in touch and letting them know how long it\u2019ll take to get back to them. Easy breezy!<\/p>\n<p>If you don\u2019t think you can even do <em>that<\/em> in a timely manner, maybe LinkedIn messaging just isn\u2019t for you (and that\u2019s OK!
