Strengthen relationships<\/h3>\n<p>Building relationships is a key use of social media for finance industry professionals. When it comes to money, everyone wants to deal with someone they know and trust.<\/p>\n<p>Nurturing prospects and clients online is known as <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.hootsuite.com\/what-is-social-selling\/\">social selling<\/a>. A <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.putnam.com\/advisor\/content\/advisorTechTips\/3536-for-gen-z-tech-is-money\">Harris Poll for CNBC<\/a> showed that a third of millennials, 19% of Gen Z, and 16% of <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.hootsuite.com\/social-media-definitions\/gen-x\/\">Gen X<\/a> \u201coften or exclusively use investments focused on ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And a <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.im.natixis.com\/us-institutional\/research\/2022-millennial-report\">Natixis report<\/a> found that 63% of millennials believe they have a responsibility to use their investing to help resolve social issues.<\/p>\n<p>Trust in the financial services sector has grown over the last 10 years. But it\u2019s still one of the least trusted industries according to the Edelman Trust Barometer.
