New navigation experience for better efficiency

What’s new: HubSpot refreshed its global navigation menu and sidebar to improve user experience and efficiency.

How it helps you

The new vertical navigation on the left side of your screen replaces the previous dropdown menus that lived at the top of the page. This update is designed to help you navigate HubSpot’s growing platform more intuitively, allowing you to manage your workflows and frequent tasks with greater ease. In other words, it’s meant to help you spend less time searching and more time executing.

More control with custom invoice fields

What’s new: HubSpot now allows merchants to add up to four custom fields to their invoices, offering greater flexibility in displaying important information.

How it helps you

This update provides managers with enhanced invoice customization options, removing a significant barrier for those considering HubSpot for their invoicing needs.

By incorporating additional details such as alternate mailing addresses, product information or internal ID numbers, businesses can tailor invoices to better fit their operations and requirements. This added flexibility ensures that all necessary information is clearly communicated, improving administrative efficiency and accuracy.

Personalize your HubSpot navigation with bookmarks

What’s new: HubSpot introduces Navigation Bookmarks, allowing users to personalize their navigation by bookmarking frequently used tools and menu items.

How it helps you

This update is a boon for managers tired of hunting through the ever-expanding HubSpot navigation to find what they need. Navigation Bookmarks let you quickly access your most-used features like dashboards and forecasting, improving efficiency and focus.

By tailoring the navigation to your specific needs, you can streamline your daily tasks, making your HubSpot experience more intuitive and effective. Plus, new users can benefit from bookmarking essential items during onboarding, easing their learning curve and enhancing productivity.

Accurate email metrics with bot filtering

What’s new: HubSpot now displays both “bot-included” and “bot-excluded” email open and click rates, providing a clearer view of actual human engagement with your emails.

How it helps you

Current open and click rates are inflated by Apple iOS and spam/phishing/malware-prevention tools. With this update you get a more accurate representation of how your audience interacts with your emails by filtering out bot activities. Managers can now differentiate between bot-inflated metrics and genuine human engagement.

This transparency helps in better assessing the effectiveness of email campaigns, assisting with more informed decision-making and strategy adjustments. While you may notice an initial drop in metrics, this adjustment ultimately leads to more accurate data and insights.

Manage approvals efficiently on mobile

What’s new: Leaders and editors can now manage their approvals directly from their mobile devices, centralizing all approval processes in one place for faster and easier management.

How it helps you

This update simplifies the approval process, allowing marketing leaders to approve content directly from their mobile devices in the HubSpot app. Previously, the approval process was fragmented, requiring multiple tools and causing delays.

With centralized mobile approvals, collaboration is smoother, reducing the time from content creation to publication. This feature is particularly beneficial for managers who need to approve marketing emails or landing pages on the go, ensuring timely and efficient content rollouts.

More control over feature release timing

What’s new: Super admins can now place their accounts at the end of gradual feature releases, providing more time to adapt to changes.

How it helps you

This feature is particularly beneficial for managing change within your organization. By placing your account at the end of the feature release schedule, you gain additional time to test new updates, update necessary documentation, and train your team on new functionalities.

This extra time ensures smoother transitions and minimizes disruptions, ultimately supporting better adoption and utilization of new features.

Monitor goal performance easily with goal-based reports

What’s new: With this release, Goals data is now available in the Single Object Report Builder, allowing users to create comprehensive Goals-based reports.

How it helps you

This update enables managers to track goal performance at a glance through customizable dashboards. By selecting Goals data in the Single Object Report Builder, you can easily generate and save detailed reports about goal performance, making it simpler to monitor progress and make informed decisions. This streamlined access to goal-related insights ensures your team stays aligned and on track to meet their targets.

Automate workflows with playbook submissions

What’s new: Users can now trigger a workflow associated with a specific object from a playbook submission.

How it helps you

This feature is a boon for efficiency and consistency in your sales process. By automating workflows from playbook submissions, you eliminate manual tasks, reducing delays and errors. For example, HubSpot could automatically create a deal after a discovery call playbook is logged, create follow-up tasks after customer calls or notify someone on the sales enablement team each time a new playbook is used, and the use cases don’t stop there!

This new feature not only saves time but also ensures that best practices are consistently followed across the team. Moreover, automated workflows streamline task management and allow your processes to scale seamlessly as your business grows.

Upcoming changes to Commerce Hub and Service Hub pricing

What’s new: HubSpot will implement a new Commerce Hub platform fee for payments processed through HubSpot and will increase its platform fee for payments processed through Stripe.

However, if you’re already using HubSpot payments by June 20, 2024, the new fee won’t apply until June 24, 2025.

If you’re planning to move your team’s payment processing to HubSpot, this is a good opportunity to set up HubSpot payment processing now and benefit from the current rates for another year.

Nobody likes a fee increase, but Commerce Hub does pack a long list of features that make it easier for your team to get paid. Prior to this fee increase, HubSpot made that list of features even longer, so you may want to take a look if you haven’t reviewed Commerce Hub in a while.
